We offer climbing classes and clinics for all levels and ages . We can also design programs to accommodate your needs and goals.

Classes and Clinics offered:

Rappelling and belaying class:

discussions and demonstrations using a variety of high friction and slick devices to auto locking belay devices. Harness modifications, setting up autoblocks. Rappelling demonstration emphasizing on correct postures .

Practice by repelling an 80 foot wall.

Practice belaying on a toprope setup and backup belay.

Movement and posture class/clinic :

This class is for those who are just beginning and those who have been climbing for some time now. This clinic analyzes your movements and gives ways to correct or improve upon them . Clinic held in a toprope setting .

Anchor building class/clinic:

Discuss various types of anchor systems such as gear, bolted,and natural .

Demonstrations will then be setup and discussed further.

Then you will be given different challanging scenarios to build several anchor systems that will be checked and discussed .

Intro to traditional climbing:

Brief discussion on leading, mindset , and gear placement strategies.

Demonstration - Follow the leader on easy, moderate climbs cleaning gear.

Do your own leads placing gear and protecting the climb to the anchors.

What do you do when you get to the top? This class begins with an in-depth discussion on belay & safety equipment ,how it all works ,and proper posture demonstration. You will learn about harnes modifications to back up your repel system , then practice by a repel off an 80 foot wall .

This class is highly recommended for beginners.

 

 

Climbing Movement: Most beginners find themselves pumping out very early on in a climb. This is most often caused by over reaching, over gripping , and poor posture. This clinic discusses proper relative movement patterns using demonstrations and practicing in a top rope setting. This is a great class for beginners and intermediate climbers.

A tentative look at anchor building: Discussion and hands on practice with review . This clinic looks at simple anchors using natural protection as well as in-depth look at traditional gear and using it for anchor construction. This is a very good class for beginner leaders.

 





An in-depth discussion on leading, mindset , and gear placement strategies.

This is a great way to bring your lead skills up to speed. This class is for those who have experience climbing and are beginning to lead traditional routs.
